I have an early Gen4 G-22 that I bought used and it didn't come with the backstraps. I recently got a Gen4 G-21 and that doesn't need a backstrap, it's perfect for me as is. I think it would be interesting to try a bigger backstrap on the G-22, to match the grip on the G-21, which I like better.

If you have a Gen4 and are using one of the backstraps or one of the beavertails that come in the kit, which one are you using? Does a beavertail even work on a Glock?

Have a Gen 4 19 and don't use the backstrap. It fits my hand size better without the backstrap.

I recently returned a Gen4 19 to glock for failure to extract that didnt come with the Beavertails.

They sent me a new one hot of the presses w/beavertails. I put the L one on and didnt really care for it. It made me grip a tad lower.. I think I have the M one on it now but havent shot it in that configuration (in my truck 8000 miles away)

My Wife and I own a new Glock 26 Gen4 and it came with the 4 back straps. I dropped the pistol on the table after work (I picked it up on the way home - we ordered it) and she cooed and started unboxing it as I went to change clothes and get cleaned up.

15 minutes later she had installed the smaller of the two beaver tails, had field stripped it and cleaned/lubed it, and was carrying it around in her back pocket getting a feel for it.

I later tried the various back straps and settled on the one she initially prefers as well. Shoots fine with any or none but seems to fit the hand in recoil a little better with the beaver tail back strap. I think the beaver tail on the G26 adds a little something (especially if you have a fat/large mit and are prone to slide bite) and would recommend them.

On other models I do not know - this is our first Glock and we are very happy and impressed with it.

I have either the medium or large without beavertail on my G34. I found the grip to be a hair too small without one. I have big, long fingered hands. If I had bought a different generation I think one of the slip on grips would have accomplished the same thing just fine.

I use the medium beavertail on my G35, and the large non-beaver for my G27. I'm 6'2" with fairly large hands.

I use the Medium beavertail on my G26, and a modified Medium on my G21. I also used a Large on my 19.

The beavertails are the best thing to happen to Glocks, for me.

I use the +4 beavertail on my 17/22/31/19/23 Gen4s, and the +2 beavertail on the G29/G30.

I use the largest MBS that came with my Gen 4 G17. I am not sure why, but it just feels right, which is odd because I kinda wanted the Gen 4 for the slimmer frame.
