Hi all, I'm thinking about getting a Horus Vision Hawk 3-12x50 for my Springfield M1A. I love the concept of the reticle, and I figure I'd rather drop 550 on one of theirs than 2500 +/- on a S&B or USO and find out the reticle's not exactly what I want. I know it's a busy reticle, but hey. Does anyone own or have used a Horus scope at all, though specifics on the Hawk would be great? I haven't seen much in the way of reviews on them, so I figured I'd ask on here. I'm specifically wondering about clarity, durability, positive click adjustments when it is zeroed, retention of zero, quality of lenses, and customer service. I'm wary of the 1 year warranty and limited number of reviews, but, as mentioned above, I really want to work the reticle and as such would rather drop less than more without having actually fired one in the past. If anyone owns or has shot one, any input would be much appreciated. Also, if you could post how far out you took it, it would be great. Thanks, all!

I suppose if a guy had a half hour for every shot to study the reticle and place their shot they would be OK. But maybe not.

Yes, heard that take before. Hence, my interest in spending less than 2500 to try one out myself.

I use a Horus Talon on my AR. Like it quite a bit -- reticle is less intuitive to use than an ACOG in terms of ranged shooting, but it's not caliber or load specific. And it has horizontal stadia lines for estimating lead on movers. Being able to go from x1 to x4 is pretty nice.
