Anyone with experience with the Horus HDMR scope and TReMoR2 reticle?

aubie515,
Many thanks for the feedback. I think that is the general worry, how busy these grids are. But for me on of the the most important thing is how fine are the lines including in full magnification. Do they really aid slightly overlaying the picture or become a total obstruction and distraction?

The reason they put all those grids and controls in the cobra helicopter helmets for the pilots is because naturally the system will give instant feedback and aim in a natural way so looking and aiming are both done in one single logical instinctive operation, the collateral information stays there but w/o distracting from the objective.
To explain this effect I found that in skeet the distraction factor became very clear any time I got a bright orange or green bead. At some point used to loose focus due to the modern beads and sometimes background triggering the eye dominance shifting for an instance until I detected and corrected the issue by using smoked glass on the left eye and a simple small white classic bead.
I am saying this because I do believe it is not what we see at first glance but eventually how our brain puts all together in action. Only through practice this is many times the only way to find out if it is going to work or not, that is why these experiences can be so tricky to explain.

I do believe there is training and and practice needed with everything but in the end does it feel natural or totally foreign? The way you put it seems you got really comfortable with the grid.

The actual 'obstruction' factor is what worries me the most, more than the complexity. The actual clear picture of the target even with that busy grid. For this we cannot have any coarse lines
at all even with full magnification. What we need to learn from the grid is already known because it is a representation of what the dialing system itself would do.

I am looking for a distributor locally to go and see through a demo or something.

Thanks again.

I've only shot to 1,025 yards and I was able to see the steel without the reticle blocking the view. It may be a different story at one mile, but I haven't shot that far yet.
