Anyone know the db level......

I seem to recall -36db. Many companies no longer list db reduction because a few makers like aac would list reductions that werent true or created under desirable better reflecting conditions that werent mil-spec. I'm sure the tacsol cans are close to many other similar sized .22 cans that are around -35 to -40db reduction. Personally, I think the best .22 can available is the Silencerco Sparrow.

Many manufacturers are moving away from listing db numbers, because their numbers were often a "Best Case" scenario, and not repeatable under differing conditions.

Check out www.silencerresearch.com for testing. I don't remember if the Cascade was tested, but I think that the last .22 test had around 40 different suppressors in it. Which is the most quiet varies from host to host--the AAC Element was the quietest pistol suppressor, but not the leader on a rifle, for instance.

I wish the silencerresearch tests were done on a quality .22 pistol like a Buckmark or Ruger MK1 or 2, not some crappy plastic plinker as he uses the turd Walther P-22. WHy anyone would pay $600 for the aac element just because it was the quietest on an aweful host is beyond me. I'd rather have 2 Gemtech Outbacks, which perform really well on rifle and pistol platform for the same price as 1 element. As it stands though, the general concensus is that the SilencerCo Sparrow, SWR Spectre and AAC Element are the best 3 .22 cans available. I'd also throw in the Outback given its nearly as quiet as the other three but its much smaller and lighter. 2.5 oz at only 5".
