I am thinking about getting a Glock 29 or 33 (still undecided on which) for another CCW. I don't have ready access to either to try out, but would like to know if either of these can be pocket carried in a pants front pocket? Any pros/cons to carrying this way with these specific pistols?

Thanks in advance!

A Glock should never be carried loose in your pocket. The trigger MUST be protected by a holster that covers it, or you may become seriously sorry. Perhaps there is such a holster that allows pocket carry, but I don't know of it.

Tex,
My 29 w/grip reduction is a real "chunk" to be carrying in a pants pocket. Said pocket would need to be the size found on carpenter's overalls to even start to conceal. The cons of trying to pocket carry a m-29 glock would become IMMEDIATELY manifest. I am 6'1", 260 lbs. and I would not try to pull-off this type of carry, there would be ZERO chance of concealment.

You had better have some big front pockets to carry one of the small Glocks that way. For person my size, 5'9-5'11 ~160 pounds, it isn't really an option. Unless you really like that "I've got a rather large bulge in my pants" look.

There is no way i could carry my G30 in my pocket. The frame build is just way to large. The G33, being on the same frame as the G27 stands a much better chance, but still will be quite hard to do.

Thanks to all who responded! I guess that matter is settled. I really appreciate the height/weight info that I can compare myself against.

And FWIW, I would have used some kind of pocket holster just to add some more much needed bulk to the whole package.

Thanks again, everyone.
