Anyone have any thoughts about this piece?

Not sure I really want to buy one, but the intrigue of an auto .357 is pretty cool.

I am trading/selling my two wheel guns and when I do I'll be buying another Glock. Have a Glock 23, a EAA Witness P Compact .45ACP and my little day carry Ruger LCP .380.

So I will be looking at either the Glock 27 or the Glock 33.

Thanks in advance for advice etc.

no thoughts at all, except why don't you say
what cartridge a Glock is chambered for and what
size full compact or sub-compact and then say
WHY you want them.... but thoughts about Glocks?

NO

Wow, I wonder did I deserve that? Lets see a model number of any piece identifies the chamber, the caliber, and whether it is full size, compact or sub-compact. And why I want them is really none of your business! I simply asked for adivce, not a smart a$$ answer.

A PM has been sent to you.

My suggestion, if you don't know the subject, obviously you don't need to reply.

RyanM: thanks for the reply. Yep thats what I'm thinking, the 27 will be more economical in the long run. Thanks for your input.

CountGlockula: I am one for not putting stuff where it doesn't belong. If I wanted the ability to just shoot different calibers, a drop in might be feasible. But I'm looking to replace, add another piece, so I think I will go with the 27.

Thanks for both your thoughts. 'Course I may get banned forever for my remarks to Blind Justice, if that be the case, happy shooting to all and to all a clean piece!

Oh, yeah, on the subject of barrels, ones made for the compact frame guns will fit in the corresponding sub-compact gun, but full size barrels will not work in either one.

So if you get a Glock 27, you could actually get a Glock 32 barrel, and use that in either gun (if you don't mind a half inch sticking out of the 27).

The .357 Sig round is very potent and I love shooting it from my G31. It is a handful to shoot in a full size pistol and I imagine it might be pretty rough in a subcompact. I would recommend trying to find a way to shoot a pistol in .357sig before you commit yourself to a subcompact.

FWIW - when I post about having a CZ 75B I always mention
the cartridge - 9MM Luger since it's also available in
.40 S&W. 1911 same thing .45 ACP as well as 5" Bbl.
since the 1911 is offered in various chamberings.

ALso, my shooting partner who has a G19 was thinking
about .357 Sig I don't know what model # that is but he
asked around and said the guy at the range we go to said
quite a few guys who get the .357 SIg usually come in a
few weeks later and ask about getting a .40 S&W Barrel.

Some people like Glocks - I've shot the G19 and Ralph
showed me a G17 when we were at a Gun show. They're
accurate and reliable I'd feel confident using one in HD/SD
but not comfortable - the grip angle doesn't work
for me. I also have issues with the striker action
but that's just me.

Good luck in your next Glock - city cops here carry
the G17, Sheriffs carry Kimber 1911 .45 ACP

Randall - IMO after almost 20 years on the
'net your PM wasn't that flmaing bad, heck I used
to be a board cop or mod.

G33

I have a G33 and love it. It does have some kick to it especially when you shoot double tap 125gr gold dots but that is one of the reasons I like it. I have clonus very bad in my hands and I still handle it very well. As far as the sound goes it is very loud, you get a lot of attention when you fire it. I wear muffs and it is fine but once I shot a couple rounds real quick down range with nothing on and I couldn't hear out of my left ear for about 12 hours. None of that bothers me just wear ear protection. I love the accuracy, the ballistics, the reliability and the over all feel of the gun.

I have a G33 and a G32. The 357Sig is the absolute most accurate auto cartridge caliber I have ever fired. On good days at the range I could hit clay pigeons & bowlingpins with relative ease at 50yrds.
Same Glock reliability, plenty of horse power.

With that being said I'm looking to get out of the 357sig business. The caliber is more expensive, harder to find at local shops(in my area). The357Sig is very loud...when you torch a 357Sig off at the range people seem to take note.

As far as the kick its no worse than the G27...and the recoil springs in the smaller guns really do work well to tame the recoil. My G32 stings the hands of shooters and the G33 doesn't-all with factory springs.

All in all the 357sigs are accurate, powerful, and shoot flat, but for my own personal reasons I think the G23,G27 will fit the bill for me.

Thanks to all

First to Blind Justice: Sorry man, you're right. After going back and re-reading your post it made a bit more sense. Silly me thinking that everyone on here knows what caliber correlates with what model number. I want to openly apologize for the PM I sent you. Wasn't called for, sorry.

As for the choice of gun, I do believe it'll be a model 27 Glock sub-compact
.40 cal. Being that I already have a model 23 in .40 (wife's gun), I figure being that already have that ammo on hand it would be foolish for me to get something different.

Thanks for all the input.

Again to BJ, I apologize.
