Anyone seen the new Sig Pro?

I'm not overly familiar with this pistol. Is it DA/SA? I'm guessing that's a decocker underneath that incredibly long slide release? Either way, the looks are impressive. Hopefully it shoots as well as the other Sig offerings.
 
If it's anything like the origional Sig Pro, it will be impressive. It can be made DAO or DA/SA.
 
I played around with one at Shot Show, out of all the sigs there, I was most impressed by the SIGPRO (besides the mosquito). I always thought sigs double stacks were a little chunky but this one actually felt good in my hands (I think I've got regular to small hands) and the best trigger of all the sigs there. I still had to move my grip to reach the decocker, but it was a little bit easier than the other sigs.

I don't know if they had a 9mm, all they had was the one in 40s&w.
 
I have several of the Sig Classic series....but I am not blind to other ideas. The Sig Pro was my introduction to Sig and the current 2340's are sweet and accurate shooters. I didn't dig the proprietary (don't fit nuthin') light rail though.
 
Looks the same as the current ones but with a standard accessory rail rather than the silly thin one.

Hey, they must have 9 mm Luger, because this is the new French military and LEO pistol (they replace their Beretta M92Fs), the SIG got a 200.000 or more pistols contract some 2 years ago with the French govt.

Don't the French have any foresight? Why buy a plastic pistol that will be dropped numerous times in surrender, when a steel one should prove to be much more durable?
 
Cool, but I think I will stick with my 2009. I don't care for pistol-mounted lights.
 
I'm probably in the small minority over this but I really don't like intergral rails . I don't ever use lights or lasers and think they detract from the looks of the gun . FWIW my SP2340 had been a stellar pistol , it's the best SIG I've owned overall .
