I got a box the other day because it was all they had in .380 in defense loads at the gun store I was at. I'd never heard of it. It feeds OK and works fine on targets. Someone else will have to comment on its ballistics.

I will test it in 1 week and tell you how it expands compared to 102 gr.golden sabers

Fed fine in my KelTec P3ATs and a Bersa Thunder....as for terminal performance, don't know, expanded fine in damp sand backstop though. If I'm ever attacked by damp sand I'm good;)

Where'd ya find 45 Critical Defense? Their website only shows 380/9mm/38 as available so far...

I just got a chance to shoot them
They shoot very high in my LCP
I will be sticking with my golden sabers

I have not tested it yet due to it not being available in 45acp. We did test the hollow point versus heavy clothing though. We used hornady 45acp 230gr +P XTP rounds. We fired two rounds into a large water jug that was wrapped with 4 layers of 5.11 clothing fabric(light canvas). Both rounds did not expand, instead they shed their copper jackets as they enter the clothing, then the lead slugs are recovered at the bottom of the water jug. the lead slug had the hatch pattern of the canvas imprinted in the nose.
We then took two more Hornady rounds and filled the hollow point with wax. The rounds did preform better than the un-waxed hollow points when fired into heavy clothing.
