Anyone's favorite handgun never change?

Not counting my 22's, I would have to say my P7M8. It was my second handgun, the only gun I had when I had to sell everything off and (to me), the coolest.

Favorite

Up till now, my all time favorite has been the same gun I learned on.

My fathers six inch S&W 586-0.

Of course now it sits in MY safe; with a one-inch reddot on a burris mount and hogue laminated rewood fingergroove grips.

Still my favorite but I'm trying new stuff all the time...

My favorite changes all the time, but the common thread is that they are always an N frame in either .45 caliber.

I wouldn't be able to pin it down to a specific model but I would agree my favorite revo would have to bear "the name that cannot be spoken." :neener:

I carried colt 1911's.Then I bought a sig 220.I don't own a 1911 anymore(had 6 of them.)

My favorites haven't changed;

Wheelguns: Colt Python, Smith & Wesson Model 19 and Colt 1873

Self-loaders: SIG Sauer P220 and Kimber 1911

Maybe not my favorite, but I sure do waffle back and forth on my house gun. 1911's always get that nod.
Maybe I like variety or maybe I just can't make up my mind.
I love all my 1911's and my snubby 44 Magnum too.
Decisions, decisions......

FOR ME, FROM THE TIME OF WOODEN SHIPS

AND IRON MEN IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE SINGLE ACTION SIXGUN IN ANY AND ALL PERMUTATIONS.
In a solid second place is the Double Action sixgun. The S+W has always been my favorite DA sixgun but the COLTS have also tickled my fancy a time or two.
In a DA 357MAG sixgun there is no finer member of the tribe than the S+W M19. My old 4" M19 has just under 50,000 rounds through it and is still going strong. That total is about evenly divided between 38SPL and 357MAG cartridges. At round 39,110 [ if memory serves...] I shot the gasring in the cylinder loose. It was back at S+W for a week and was back in my hands.
I have a 6" M19 also that is a peach of a sixgun which shoots screaming hot 357MAD 125jhp handloads with exquisite target accuracy, the only 357MAG I have ever owned capable of this. I'm not sure this newer 6" M19 has had 1000 rounds through in the 18 years I have owned it.
I do indeed love the S+W sixguns in J, K, L, N, and X frame sizes, but THEY AIN'T NO SINGLE ACTION SIXGUN....
AN SAA...be still my heart....sigh

Just in case you're wondering I also own all those newfangled shellshuckin' sumbiscuits and they're ain't nothin to 'em atall. A passing fancy in the world of real guns...
A real-honest-to-god sixgun has a heart, a soul, and a personality all its' own...go find that in a GLOCK or a SIG, OR A CZ, or a KEL-TEC....OR YOUR FAVORITE 1911/1911A1...can't be done because an autoloading pistol is just a machine to squirt bullets.

While never practical, I've never forsaken my childhood love: Mauser 96.

Even though I carry a SIG 220; my all time favorite is still a custom 1911.

Always the BHP. A friend I hadn't seen in twenty years (we were best friends when we were 10 yeas old) visited, and while checking out the BHP in my gunsafe said "A Browning Hi-Power, that always was your favorite gun."

I've romanced a few other girls over the years.....

.....but I always come back to the Browning sisters 1911 and HiPower. All dressed up or just the way they come there's nothing prettier.

Not exactly a "handgun" only cartridge - but I'd have to say the .22LR in a Ruger Standard Model semi-auto is my all time favorite.

A close second was a Ruger Speed Six, 2.75" barrel .357.

So in answer to the question - NO, my favorites haven't changed. Though I have flirted with other calibers and handguns.

My 686 Snub seems to spend the most time with me. It's the one I'm most comfortable with on a daily basis. With that being said, I won't hesitate to grab my "28".

HK USP fullsize. Started with a .40, then a 9mm for a short time, and for the last few years a .45.
