Good God, Eugene Stoner must be rolling over in his grave. CA sure forces some fugly looking ARs into existence.

My company, Exile Machine LLC, makes the Hammerhead rifle stock adapter. Can use as a "non-pistol-grip" or as a stock adapter. Either way, meets the requirements of CA penal code - not a pistol grip.

We also have some prototypes where we've cut off the rear threaded portion for those who want to just use it as a grip:
