AR prices

Since the expiration of the ban, has anyone seen a change, for the better or worse, of AR's? I'm looking at purchasing an M4, but also considering the possiblity of building one. Any suggestions?

I really have no suggestion to make, but the prices of Colt M4's I've seen have gone up anywhere from $100 to 300 since sunset of the ban. Other brands seem stable. I'm waiting to see what Colt does w/ their distributors re supplying further M4's. If they don't change their policy and only sell to LE and military then those prices will go up I fear.

I might just go with the complete lower, then add the complete upper when I get the extra cash. If I order the complete lower, will I have to have it shipped to an FFL? Or can I have it sent directly to my house, I have a valid NC Concealed Handgun Permit, which allows me to bypass the NICS check? Also, how are the stock triggers on these things, is it worth the extra money for the 2 stage trigger?
