AR15 mags for Stevens 200?

Does anyone make bottom metal to use AR15 mags in a Stephens 200?

Not that I know of, a company called cdi makes bottom metal and their ai mags tho.

It started as a .45 winmag barrel from McGowan I reamed it to .450 bushmaster.

Gotcha. I grabbed mine from Bison Gun Works in Louisiana. It ships today. I'm pretty psyched.

That thing is awesome! Is that the stock stock? Did you just sand it to fit the bull barrel? I have a synthetic stock and am wondering if I can do that to it?

Yup that's the original stock. The previous owner had opened it up already so I'm not sure what he did to make it fit.

I only own one Stevens 200 and I love that cheapo...it has a blind magazine well, I don't know what you are talking about, Ithought they were all blind mag wells.

It's the same gun as a Savage so you could switch it to a hinged floor plate. Or put whatever aftermarket bottom metal on.

The problem with using an AR mag in a bolt action is that in order to get the bolt to strip the rounds out of the mag reliably you have to add a hinged do-hickey to the bolt like you see on the Mossberg MVP.

Well, I just received my barrel. I"ll post a pic when I'm done. Let me know if that PTG has that bottom metal for a Savage. I took a look and it doesn't seem so. If they do and you go that way, definitely let us know how it works.

I'm going to try a factory magazine. Mine was modified to work with .45 winmag which it never did. So I need to get a new follower. I'll post an update when I get it to work.

Any movement on your end?

I got mine together. Looking for spacer ideas for the magazine. Hoping to shoot it tonight or tomorrow to get the scope close and then out to 100 to zero it.
