Just saw that later this year Taurus will be coming up with series 856 revolvers chambered in 38 spl. They are advertized as 6-shot small frame snubbies in stainless, blue steel and "magnesium" alloy; first two will be +P rated. From the sketchy descriptions I've seen the size will be very similar to Det Spl. This should be interesting...
Some really, really powerful snubbies that I can think of are Ruger's Alaskan in .454 and Smith's 500ES. I believe the former is 6-shot that can be used with .45 speed loaders. (I doubt anybody would want to use a speedloader after shooting a cylinder of casulls. )
I have a Rossi in .357. mid 1990's model(pre Taurus) Same model still made today. Like it better than any other snubbie because grip has a place for my pinkie-better control. Probably most accurate handgun I own.
Guess I didn't get that memo. My Colt Detective Special is on my hip right now.
As to your question, I assume that you mean "are there any .38 special, 6 shot snubbies available other than the Colt DS" and the answer is yes. Smith, Rossi, Taurus as well as others make such guns.
Of course, all them stay up at night, snuggled in their comfortable holsters and stare at the roof of their gun safes or night stand drawers and dream of becoming Colt Detective Specials.
JUst to plug the only K-frame centerfire they're making right now - I think that is true.

My first .38 was ordered from a Texas closeout dealer 9/03. It was a new 2" 10 - actually, a -11 made 1/03 - and was $280! Also ordered was my first .357M - a 6" 66 (-6) for $350. I think s/h was a flat $10, too. Ah, those were the days of real bargains! They are keepers, for sure.
That 2" 10 is uncannily accurate, and comfortable with +P 158gr LHPSWCs and the service wood boots it sports now. My huge snubby collection is below. The 2" 10 is the only six-shooter, the others having five chambers and 1.88", 2.5" & 3" barrels.
