And then published it on the Internet for all to see...A deer hunter took a video camera into the deer stand with him to capture his moment of glory. But his moment of glory turned into shame because he is such a bad shot.
That was a pretty short range shot. Guess it's hard to be cameraman and shooter at the same time.

Looks like a badly sighted rifle to me. All shots way left. At least the deer finally figured things out so he didn't get a painful but not immediatly fatal wound.

What did that look like to you? Less than 50 yards I'd say.

Yea that would be almost irresponsible to shoot when you don't know where your bullet will go.
Maybe he had an old mil-surp rifle? I've read that some ladder sights have lose pin holes so they wobble side to side with each shot.

Um, wow, just wow.
I have put down deer at that range with my Ruger SBH 3 times. All with a single shot. I grew up in N PA, and I don't think a single time with a rifle, or a revolver were any of my shots much further ( if not less) then that. Maybe its a PA thing, but we used to "figure out" where the firearm would shoot before we took it out to hunt.
I don't belive that I own a firearm that will not hit a 2"x 2" block of wood at 50 Yrds. (ok maybe except my Astra 400, or my Carcano)
I have (I like to think) the nicest 6.5 Carcano in the tri-state area, custom stock, aftermarket barrel, and custom open sights. That rifle can almost hold 5-6 inches at 100 yrds. That deer would have been jerky, or pot meat on the first shot.

It looks easy when you shoot paper, but for some people, having a nice buck stare them in the eye turns them to jelly. A half dozen years ago I had a trophy buck sneak up on me while bowhunting, it look right up in the tree at me at 35 yards and just out of range, being fully unprepared to see him, I started shaking really bad and darn near fell out of my stand. For the next 5 minutes after he bolted I was shaking uncontrollably and even my teeth were chattering. usually I get somewhat milder effects after shooting a deer, but this time the shakes hit first.
Try sprinting to your 50 yard target stand and back a few times then taking the same shot and see how smart you look.
I have a feeling that more than a few people here who have prepared for the blue helmeted zombie grizzly bears from outer space invasion would freeze up and piss their pants if such a thing ever did happen.
