all numbers match except bolt it is a sporter model, appears to be in original condition, but the crest has been removed, will take reasonable offers and it can be yours,can text or email pics to interested parties
Jump481, please post pictures. The only takedown version to see actual service was the Type 2 paratrooper rifle, which was based on the Type 99. These are exceedingly rare, however, as Japan never actually used paratroopers. If you have a genuine Japanese Type 2, it could be quite valuable.
We're talking in the $1000 to $2000 range, depending on condition. These are not common guns. Given the mum was removed, it's probably on the lower end of that, though that can be largely forgiven if it is otherwise good. I would very much like to see it, simply because you rarely get the opportunity to see something like this and I know quite a lot about the Arisaka rifles.
