But they wouldn't come in. Also saw one bull elk (fifty yards) and a GIANT deer. Still kind of puzzled by it's size. Wasn't a Mule-Deer either. Just a White-Tail.

I took Bessie of course, and you have seen her many a time. But the night before I had a brain-fart, and decided I'd travel light and take the S&W 317...then an hour into the woods I realized it wouldn't get Bullwinkle's attention, and why I always take a "real" pistol in moose country. Oh well, didn't see any moose. Bessie loaded with bird shot isn't the best moose gun.

Anyhow, I splurged $$$$ and got me a firebox titanium stove. I've had one in stainless steel for years, but those are heavy. This is really light, but a bit heavier than my little fold up fuel-tab stove, but that's all (the little white fuel tabs, or the G.I. issue fuel tabs) you can use in those. The FireBox burns wood, (never run out of fuel) fuel tabs, Sterno or alcohol equally well. Also folds up flatter than the fuel-tab stove, so it fits better/anywhere in the pack, even though the fuel tab stove is smaller if that makes any sense. Here I'm using a fuel-tab to make my after-lunch cup of coffee. As you can see I haven't had a wood fire in it yet, it's still all shiny and new. :)

Okay, I know, you all still want to see Bessie, because she was there too.

Season ends this Sunday.
Haven't even been out.
Been sick or gimped.
Maybe tomorrow morning.
But if raining, nope.
