Okay - If you're like me, you've probably got more than a few pre-ban magazines or rifles, which artificially increased in value when ergonomic, but not pretty, rifles and normal capacity handguns were put on the nasty list...

So... Do you hope that the ban continues, and your investment continues to rise in value, or will you take the financial hit, and smile...

I know that I want to be able to buy inexpensive 50 rounds (that cost less than the flippin' rifle!) for my 10/22s...

For me it isn't about cheap magazines and parts as I don't see prices on these items changing drastically. For example most magazines for SIGs, HKs, Walther etc. are running aroud $30 now. Pre-Bans are in the $80 area. So prices drop to around $40 is my bet.

What I am interested in besides the fact that the law was and is a stupid waste of resources is the fact that I would like to be able to buy these parts without a hassal. I would also like to be able to get standard cap magazines for things like the SIGPRO. These simply don't exist in a pre-ban capacity.

Down with the AWB.:cuss:

I have several evil black rifles and a whole lot of evil pre-ban high capcity magazines that I aquired before the ban. It's all worth many times what I paid for it.

But I don't view them as an investment. I would be ecstatic to see ARs for $400-600 and USGI 30 round magazines for a buck a piece again.

The ban sunsetting is important for the future of our way of life. THAT is much more important to me then all of the profit I could make by selling all of my pre-ban stuff. I refuse to place profit over freedom.

I do have a few dozen NORMAL capacity mags, some acquired at reasonable prices, some at very unreasonable prices due to the unconstitutional interference of the Fedgov in the firearms market. I would GLADLY see the value of all of them fall to a few dollars each just to see this blight on our Republic sunset into history.

Make no mistake, this ban isn't about the price of mags, or the stupid cosmetic features that were illegally outlawed - no, the ban was and is about gradually disarming Americans. It was and is about desensitizing Americans to gov't regulation of their property, about raising the costs of gun ownership to discourage gun ownership, and making an example of those who defy the gov't by imprisoning them. It is, in short, about the destruction of our liberties, pinprick by pinprick.

The AWB is an affront to all that was fought for by tens of millions of our citizen-soldiers over the course of the last 228 years, and must be made to disappear next September, and never be seen or heard from again. Same for the politicians that back its renewal/strengthening. Once this task is completed, we can address the wisdom (or serious lack thereof) of the '86 machine gun production ban, the Brady law, the Lautenberg Amendment, the '68 GCA and the '34 NFA.

Wheelguns and bolt actions -- yesssir! I'd love to get a 20 round mag for my Ishapore Enfield. Just for kicks.

I feel sorry for everyone that is worrying about the sunset of the AWB. Spend a ton of bucks for pre-ban mags then 5 minutes later they arn't worth a dime as the manufacturers are flooding the market with the standard capacity mags they have been making and marketing as pre-ban all along.

Or buy like mad because your worried the ban will be continued and maybe worsened.

Boy what a headache. I feel for ya. But I'm glad I don't have your wories.

Actually I agee with lee n. field, I want a 20 rounder for my Ishapore Enfield. That would be sweet.
