Bad primers

Bingo! Fred's a genius.

This primer failed to go off under the hammer as well, after I took the pics.

I knew you wanted that brass. You can't say you never pulled a bullet now.:D

What do you suppose would happen at the target, if you reload the bullet leaving the screw in it.....

Makes you wonder how many thousands of primers they screwed up. You ought to email them. You may not know the batch # but I'll bet they do. At the very least you'll get a free box of 100....who knows maybe more.
 
Update:

I loaded the same exact brass, using the same hand primer, but with Winchester primers from another "sleeve" from a different "box" of 1K of primers bought at the same time from the same fellow. (I don't know if they were the same lot #)

I shot about half of them Sunday with no misfires. Definitely just some bad primers from one "sleeve". I guess I was due.
