Bought this "beltster" for my Ruger KP90DC. The gun is a little fat and an IWB like the Sparks Summer Special I have for it just adds width and is uncomfortable to boot. I've not carried the gun in this belt more'n a few hours, but it's far more bearable than is IWB, rides lighter without pulling down my pants, and is more convenient to disarm and rearm getting in or out of the car. Without a gun in it, it's just a belt and I needed a belt, anyway.

Retention is good, it rides high and light for great concealment under a long polo shirt, is one of the better purchases in leather I think that I've gotten, so far. It's like having my JIT belt slide on, but when I disarm, the holster isn't there. Actually, the gun rides tighter than the belt slide. One thing, the decocker is not a problem, but the slide stop rides against my skin when seated and can be a little irritating. I've found that I can pull my underwear up without giving me a wedgy and that will protect me from the slide stop.:D As I get used to it, I find I can even reholster without having to use two hands. Also, the thing will hold my P85 and even my Kel Tec P11 well. It's not THAT gun specific. The little KT is my pocket carry, but it just disappears on this belt it's so small and light. Gives me options.

It was 85 bucks plus shipping and Texas sales tax, just a few cents over 100 bucks total. But, a good belt is 60 or 70 bucks. I consider it money well spent even if I just use it as a belt.

Did you have any problems with the holster slot lining up on a belt loop or the slot position not where you want to carry?

I've been using one for years, and still love it! I carry an Officer's sized Compact 1911, with no problems at all. I use the 1-3/4" belt, the one shown is 1-1/2". It covers the trigger just fine too. I have a Milt Sparks Versa Max II that cost me a LOT more than the Beltster, and the VMII lives in a drawer, it just pulls my pants down.

Only real issue I have with the Beltster is the rivets on my jeans will mark up the pistols' slide, so the rivets have to be removed. And I've lost a few pounds, so my pants are baggy, and tend to slide down now. But with good fitting pants it works very well. No retention problems or looseness at all.

And AFA belt loops, just slide the belt to where you want the pistol to ride. When he makes it for you, he'll ask you where you want the holster to be and ask for measurements. I "think" the default is the FBI kidney position, but I had mine placed at 3 o'clock because of a shoulder problem. I can't reach behind me that well.

I highly recommend the Beltster! He can make one to fit nearly any handgun out there. And they're made for you, not mass-produced. Very fast service too. I placed my order and called the next day with a question, and he already had it done. A VMII will take at least 6 months before they start on it.

It is a little offbeat, but it should hold the gun at least as well as any number of "Yaqui Slide" types. I personally dislike an exposed slide/muzzle because A: your cover garment, if it accidentally rides up, will expose a gun instead of just the bottom of a holster; and B: sitting down can cause the gun to be pushed out of the holster. But if it works for you I have no quarrel. :)
