Barrel threads on Polytech AK/S?

The AK/S I own has a muzzle nut on it, welded in place. If I were to have it removed what thread type is underneath? I'd put a good muzzle brake on it if I could. No 922r here as it is preban.

14mm LH, like all of em. That is the standard AKM thread.


24mm threads show up on some (but not all) small bore AKs.
