my 2¢

I have a browning A bolt and also use a leupold base (one piece )and rings had it mounted that way since late 80s or real early 90s on my hunting rifle and never had any issues

I no longer use anything but Talley Lightweights. They cost less than steel, weigh much less, are much easier to mount, and since there is no separate base they are much stronger.

The DNZ mounts are also a contender. You can make a point that they might be even stronger, but the Talley's look better to me and don't have a rail obsructing the loading/ejection port.

Browning has a integrated base/ring combo that eliminates one mechanical link from getting loose. http://www.opticsplanet.com/browning...130621153832:s

Those are simply Talley lightweights being sold by Browning.

I have integrated base/rings on my 1980s vintage 7mm RM A-Bolt. They were installed when I bought the rifle, so I don't know who made them. They are weakly magnetic, so I can't be sure of the alloy.

What I do know is that they work very well.
