It's been awhile since I've seen a thread for these. Anybody got anything new ( or old ) they'd like to share pictures of?

I wish I could start, but I don't own anything that would qualify:(

Thanks,

DSC05278.gif DSC05276.gif S&W 25-7 .45 Colt in a El Paso holster I got off gunbroker for $75 (holster), and a belt I found (in my size!) at a gunshow for $10. Grips are by Kirk Ratajesak. The Colt Series 70 doesn't have a BBQ holster yet.

Guns that you bust out at a BBQ or other get together and say "Oh hey look at this!" More often that not this weapon would sit in storage due to the age, cost of ammo, or lack of desire to shoot it. EX: Gold Desert Eagle :D

More like Anne Richards and the Texas Rangers invite you for a BBQ, what gun would you wear? Texas Rangers are known for tastefully engraved 1911's that are still more function than flash.

My Colt Government above was used in a local benefit tournament, and by the Grace of God, I barely beat a local sheriff's deputy that could definitely deploy his Glock 21. I won the match by a thread, but I got the trophy to prove it. Beauty, function and reliability CAN go together in a barbeque gun.

Does this qualify?

Lawdog's description of a Court and BBQ guns are spot on. It is accepted that a BBQ is by definition fancier than the Court variety, but it should not be gaudily so.

Gold Desert Eagle? BBQ gun fail!

I don't remember the name of the fellow who owns these, but he is a THR member. Maybe he'll stop by and explain why he's so awesome. :)
