Can't decide which to get, but I'm gonna get one or two of them. Already got the $$ for the select winchester shotgun and somebody decided to repay a 3k loan FINALLY. Never shot the 8357, but love the USP and have "regular" P-14's and a P-12 [well, the little woman actually has possesion :banghead: ] so I'd like a new carry gun, carried a gov't for years so size isn't a concern. But like I said, never shot a beretta 8000 series in any caliber.

I have a 'pre-LDA' PO P-16 .40 that is a fine firearm indeed. Most accurate, 100% reliable, a very crisp trigger. As far as I am concerned, it leaves nothing to be desired. Mine has been hard chromed and has night sights. I'd trust it in any needful situation plus it is a really fun gun to shoot at the range. Good luck with your choice.

The USP and the Para P-14 are on the way. Worked 30+ hrs of OT this week, soo- I'm gonna drop the cash on the 8357 ALSO :neener: "'tis easier top beg for forgiveness than ask for permission"

Of the 40's I've owned (I've owned a few), I prefer the Beretta 96 the best. My preference tho, would be to make the full jump to 10mm ;)

I picked the USP because it is a great weapon and you stated that you love the USP. If you love it, buy it.

Carry a Witness compact 10mm everyday. 11 rounds at 740 ft/lbs. Can't think of any other gun that offers so much power in a compact package. And they're still very controllable and accurate. And cheap :D

The P-16 will be here next tues, and the USP is SUPPOSED to be here sat, but I NEED to go bow hunting. I'm beginning to think the 8357 is a lost cause, they seem pretty scarce where I've looked. Did see a Springfield Omega 10mm on auction arms that looks "styling"....it is painted my favorite color- CHROME. :neener:
