I saw this movie again recently and was wondering about the beretts 92's that jean reno has in the movie, specificly the barrels on them? They appear to be compensated but are these after market compensators attached to threaded barrels?,or did beretta ever make a 92 with a compensator like the ones in the movie? Thanks

For the life of me, I can't remember the original manufacturer's name. I vaguely recall that they were Italian. BAT (Better Accuracy Technologies) carried them here in the US, as did Denny's Shooters Supply and Brownells briefly.

As I remember it, they were retained by a screw through the guide rod and frame supports.

There is a singleaction variant called the Combat (?) that has a muzzle weight. Not sure if it's a comp.

There is also an airgun that has a mock compensator.
