After attending an auction, a work acquaintance of mine presented me with a damaged Beretta AL2 he thought was worth something as a gift to me. The stock is missing, and the recoil spring tube that goes into the stock has been twisted off as you see in the pictures. I have looked it over quite well but cannot for the life of me determine how the tube would be removed for replacement. I do not want to spend a lot of time on something that is impossible to repair. If I can get the tube off, then I might spend some cleaning and finding a new set of furniture for the old shotgun. Any help is appreciated.

It unscrews out of the back of the receiver.

The hole in the side is for a pin spanner wrench.

Thanks RC. I got the spanner wrenches. I just wasn't sure if it was threaded or just pressed in the hole etc. It was easier to ask first instead of buggering it up finding out.

I have no idea, true or not??

But if it won't unscrew with reasonable force??
Or a swift swat from a ballpeen hammer on the wrench handle?
Remember, Rightly tighty! Lefty Loosy?

Hit it with a torch and smoke the Lock-Tight out.
Justin Case they used some Italian blend thread locker compound on it.

Yea! I know.
Whats Justin Case got to do with it??
