Beretta M1201?

I friend of mine has an opportunity to buy a couple of Beretta M1201s for $550 each. These have 18" barrels and ghost ring rear / Tritium front sights. He says it's a great deal and I should get one too. I can't seem to find any info. on this model at all.

I have an 1100 Comp. Master and an 870 police trade-in but I'm a sucker for a good deal.
Have any info. about this gun or what they are worht?

I own a Bereta 1201. For the most part a nice shotgun. My only complaints is that with it being a recoil operated shotgun not all low recoil rounds work in it. Second it being a light shotgun shooting slugs from it can be a teeth jarring experience.
