So you're telling me that as long as it's short enough, a rifle is considered a handgun, so you could get away with a short barreled AR, FAL, etc?
Totally opposite of US law; Put a stock on something under 26" without "da stamp", go to prison.

Not quite, a rifle will always be a rifle.
The Ruger charger was a handgun in the first place and the law does not exclude stocks on handguns, think luger, BHP etc
Getting an AR pistol is never likely to happen though.
