bang for your buck , too me means a gun with a lot of value and performance for a nice, reasonable price tag. i would have to reccomend the xd .45 or the glock 21, you can't go wrong with either one of them and personally i would take the xd.

"Best Bang for the Buck."

WARNING: Strong Opinion Follows!

If that phrase is defined as the highest possible quality in workmanship, dependability, manufacturer support, accuracy, magazine capacity, features offered in the box, features offered on the gun, aesthetics, price ($500) and over-all shooting enjoyment value...

...Well, then I'm sorry, but I don't see ANYTHING out there that can presently beat the FNP-45 USG!

The HK might come close in most of the categories mentioned, but the price issue alone automatically throws it out of contention as it is in the $700+ range and only comes with 2 smaller capacity magazines.

Note: There are some that say the FNP-45's seem "large." This is a designed double-stacked 15+1 .45ACP combat weapon made to be used by law enforcement and the military. It ain't ever gonna feel like a sleek 9-10 round 1911 race gun!

Please note the weapon in my hand. I have size 8.5 hands, which are only slightly larger than average, and it fits me perfectly.

(Men's Surgical Glove sizes: <7.0 = Small, 7.0-8.0 = Medium, 8.5-9.0 = Large, >9.0 = Extra Large)

How do you guys think the FNP 45 compares to the Para Hi-Cap 1911? I'm in a very similar situation myself.

Never held or fired a Para, but I do know these facts:

Para has a slightly lighter trigger (2.5-3.0 Vs 4.0 for the FNP USG)
Para comes with only one 14 rd magazine Vs FNP with three 14 rd mags
Para can easily costs TWICE as much as an FNP
Para does not have the same service reputation FNH has

Thus, everything else being supposedly equal, the "Bang for the Buck" would still go to the FNP-45 USG.

The finer things in firearms have sweet triggers. That all but rules out the H&K USP as one of those things.

+ 1 on the FNP-45

without question it is the best bang for the buck, should win the new "thehighroad.org Tripple-B Award"...lol...if there was one. but seriously, i own the XD45c and love it. didn't think it there could be much better in terms of comfort, capacity, and overall koolness. then came the FNP-45 and all is changed.

1) ambidextrous everything
2) three 14rd mags
3) great sights
5) looks super kool, can u say "badass"
6) as accurate as you can get
7) recoil is extra soft/smooth, about the same as a 9mm...maybe better
8) nice case
9) GREAT PRICE (i paid $575 for a bitone version)
10) built solid like a tank...literaly...lol
11) fits in the hand nicely, despite it being a true hand cannon.

i still think the XD45c is better for all around concealability and as a ccw, but if you can carry the FNP-45 concealed then do so and know that you have the best bang for the buck...no doubt!!!
