Best finger-touch gun safe for bedroom

Hope this hasn't been beat to death in the past. Couldn't find anything on the searches I did.

I need a good safe to keep a pistol secure in the bedroom. Want one of the finger touch types so I don't have to fight with a dial or key. Have seen several, some in Dillon catolag, just not sure which one to get.

I know the things are not the best for security, just want to keep a prying kid from it for a bit.

Anyone have one? Thoughts? Suggestions?

I like the Gun Vault GV-1000. It has finger grooves to help guide your digits to the correct buttons.

I use and like the Gun Vault as well (at least for my home -- I'm looking for something slimmer for my vehicle).

I bought a GunVault & liked it. Then found the DAC safe at Walmart.com - it holds twice as much & is half the price & operates exactly the same... plus it comes with a steel mounting plate so it can be easily secured & un-secured. So I bought 2 DAC's.

I've noticed that these sorts of safes only have four buttons for the combination. Does that mean you're limited to a four-digit combo? Seems like kind of a bad idea, because that would only give you a total of 16 possible combinations.

Don't think that's right for the number of combos possible.

Think it's 4x4x4x4 (been a while since I played with probabilities much), not just 4x4=16. Or is may just be 4x4x4.

Either way, pretty sure it's one or two powers more then 16. And it you can repeat a button it would be even more.

I have three gun vaults and really like them. Two of them have had the same batteries coming up on four years now.

I don't remember how many button pushes you can set the combo to but you can repeat pushes. For example your combo can be 1-2-3-4-4-3-2-1.

You can also program to simultaneously push multiple buttons as one "number" in the combo.

If you are looking for quick and/or quiet access then this probably doesn't apply. Otherwise read on.

I use a Stack On Strong Box on top of my dresser. It's pretty heavy duty and seems a little more secure than the Gun Vault albeit either one could likely be pried open. This one is big enough to easily hold 2 or 3 pistols plus extra mags, knives or anything else you might want to keep out of reach from "little hands". The downside is you can't open easily in the dark and you cannot turn off the beeps on keypad. Neither of these is an issue for me as I keep a gun ready at hand at all times.
