Hello, i dont post on here much but i have beena member for a long time and i read here everyday.I have a whole list of other gun forums i visit on a regular basis as well, some everyday others once or twice a week, but i have to say that The High Road is by far the absolutely best gun forums on the internet.:)

THANK YOU

This is one of the best forums I visit. Most everyone here seems to get along and respect each others opinions. :neener:

The only two forums I've found to suit my tastes are Gunboards and THR. Members are helpful, responsible, courteous and intelligent.

Most everyplace else is filled with neo-Nazis, SHTF obsessionists, questionably legal "advice" and opinions and other general nonsense I'd rather not be associated with, as an individual or a gun owner.

I can come to THR and read interesting, civil discussions on myriad topics without having to explain that "just because I own guns, doesn't mean I submit to YAHWEH and want to kill Jews" or having to wade through "suggestions for backup backup backup forelight on AR-15" or "BEST TACTICAL SOCKS?????" or "what if I have a full-auto 40mm grenade launcher but no ammo, i'm ok right?" threads.

...actually, now I'm wondering what SEAL Team 6 wears for undies... I bet it's pretty badass. :neener:

Me liketh - theghighroad.org, thefiringline.com, ar15.com, 1911forum.com and the berettaforum.net.
I'm sure there is a couple I'm forgettingm but these are top of my list.

i think THR is the best. i am a member at other places but there are just so many things, about this site i like better. I like the people, on here and all the vast knowledge, just down right good hearted and friendly people, That will do anything to help anyone. A newbe to a veteran. i also appreciate the support that this site and it's members give us military personel. I like the lay-out of the website, and alot of the features that the site has over the others that I am on on occassion. Just all around great site and great people I love it here!

I like a few of the "other" big boards.. but you still have to wade through a lot of militant stuff.

I like the 1911forum.com when I'm looking for Kimber info. They are pretty cool. I read there a lot but dont post.

I like THR... I like the phrase even more. I'm always telling myself and others to "Take the high road"... usually regarding life in general. It's really a good mantra. I want a C&R forum here though :)

They're tactical genital retention systems, not panties.

Are you not secure enough in your Tactical Ninja-ness to don the tactipanties?

No, really, they're called genital retention systems. Guns & Ammo said that John Moses Browning worked closely with Massad Ayoob and Delta Force to design the ultimate tactical undergarment, so it must be true. I deserve the best! I was special forces in Vietnam you know...

Besides, it's strictly a comfort issue, the Thunderwear chafes on my beer gut. :D

It's funny that 10-ring mentioned 1911forum. I haven't been there in a long time. I made a post a while back about an neat and unusual firearm I found searching on the internet. Evidently, there are quite a few law enforcement personnel on that forum. Seems the firearm I found and thought was interesting was something they didn't want the " general population" to know about. Despite the fact that I "broke no rules" my post was deleted within a few hours. I was really put off by being censored. They, whoever it was that deleted my post, thought that just the knowledge of it would endanger fellow officers. I posted once or twice after that but could never let it go in my head so I just stopped reading and posting there.

The members of any Board has a lot to do with how good a place it is. With this being a good Board, it says a lot about the members as well as the moderators. IMHO keep up the good work. I'm new here but enjoy reading all the great Info on this board. Can never learn too much about guns and shooting. :)

Ok, redloki, now i'm not going to be able to sleep until I find out what was so unusual and neat that 1911forum would want to censor you. Are you sure you aren't thinking of m1911.org forums? Those guys have some pretty gungho jackbooted moderators but I would never think 1911forum would do something like that. I've only been posting at 1911forum for about a month or so now though. Please fill us in on this neat and unusual firearm!
