I might be retarded but I couldn't find the forum search feature, so sorry if this has been asked before.

Where do you all buy your ammo from online?

Bass pro, wallmart, etc has been out of most pistol ammo and buckshot for a while. Curious as to what reputable places you guys buy ammo online from.

Thanks in advance!!

+1 for ammunitiontogo.com

Always good for me. Plus, anytime I've emailed them, their customer service has replied within a day or two at most.

And I see them at the local gun shows and they are always very nice there as well.

Ammoman is the cheapest I know of. He usually has plenty of affordable FMJ plinking stuff, but not much of anything else.

I buy from Ammunitiontogo, too.

Where can you guys find good hollowpoints right now, though? Ammotogo ran out of my 9mm HST's, and the local shops were cranking prices since before the elections. Paying $21 for a box of 20 decent rounds online is bad enough, paying $36 for the cheapest proper SD stuff nearby is ludicrous. :barf:

Want my $19.95 box of 50 HST's back. :(

I haven't found one place that always has the ammo I want, or always has the best price, so I search extensively on the internet.

I usually find the best prices by searching carefully through froogle.google.com

http://gun-deals.com/ammo.php has lists of places selling different calibers of ammo, with price comparisions.

I've also found some good deals at gunbroker.com

Everybody's nearly out. I gave up looking for Hornady .45acp 200gr. TAP after nearly a month of looking. Even Hornady doesn't have it. I had to settle for Speer 230gr. Gold Dots, which I didn't want, but it was the only .45acp self-defense ammunition that I had any confidence in that I could get for anything like a sane price. Almost nobody has anything but FMJs and I won't carry that out in the street.

www.wideners.com
I just ordered from them. First time. Their site says they just got in an order of South African .45. I ordered some just to give it a try. Prices aren't as good a wallyworld with shipping but they say they have the product and wally does not.

Ammunitiontogo. I have also bought a lot of stuff from Cabela's online. They offer free in store pickup. With gas prices having come down it costs me less to drive and pick it up than it does to ship it to my home. Also Cabelas has been throwing in a dry box with every bulk ammo order. Only issue is that some calibers are on back order. If you don't mind waiting its a good deal.

what is their shipping costs? they have some really good deals compared to other stores.
7.62x39 wolf
1000 rounds for 175 plus shipping.

they do claim the charge actual shipping also and don't overcharge for it.

Anybody have any idea as to how long it will take people to get back in stock? Have ammo manufacturers increased production or are they already maxed out?

I'm not going to tell you because they're out of stock!

No I use ammunitiontogo.com as well - in the past they had just about everything you could want, but like everyone these days they're hit and miss. But I only order from them - they're great.

Our local walmart shelves are usually bare, but they are getting in shipments several times a week. I have most calibers and if I stop buy a couple times a week I find almost everything I need after a couple weeks time. You didn't mention what you are looking for. Only things that are not in a lot are 9mm in HPs and any 380acp.

In addition to those already listed, I have purchased from the following:

Georgia Arms
Southern Ohio Guns (SOG)
Sportsman's Warehouse
Midway, USA
J&G Sales
Graf & Sons
AIM Surplus
Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP)

The places I've had the best luck are:

Ammunition to go (for smaller orders, <500 rds)

-and-

Georgia Arms (for large lots of practice ammo)

Cheapest / best place to buy ammo online

Check out ammunitionstore.com

these guys just came back on the scene and there great. I have made 4 purchases through them and have had fast shipping and great customer service every time. Cheap prices too. My last order was for 308 linked for an m-60 machine gun. Came in ammo cans all ready to go and fired perfectly.

I've only been a handgun owner for a few months but up to now I've generally used ammunitiontogo.com and luckygunner.com. Recently, I picked up some bargains at a gun show and at Walmart that were slightly better than the prices on the above-mentioned websites.

The best place? I don't know of any single "best place" to buy ammo. But if you take the time to shop around, seeing who might have a good deal on any given day, either in the price of ammo or in the price attached to the shipping charges, you are likely to do better than you would by selecting a single spot and using it again and again.

I usually buy from Aimsurplus. They usually have the best prices on what I shoot most 9mm and 7.62x39. However I just ordered 1,000 rounds of 9mm from centerfiresystems.com since Aim was out of 115g 9mm.

Between them I can usually find the best price on whatever I need.
