Best Scope $500-$800

I am looking at a Zeiss Conquest, does anyone have any experience with them that they want to share? Any other recommendations are appreciated. I plan on putting it on my .270 for whitetail this season.

I've got a 3-9 Conquest on my 338 ultramag. Excellent scope, I'm very pleased.

they are truly a fine scope but i would personally rather spend my dollars in the usa. leupold vx-III, vx-7, or mk iv. solid optics & a warranty should it ever be needed bar none.

Lots of great options in that price range ( 'cept maybe the Schmidt & Benders, good luck finding many of them that cheap ).

I know I am committing the ultimate forum sin of dredging up one of my old posts, but I finally got around to buying a zeiss conquest yesterday. The economy forced a long wait period but it is on the way. Picked up a 3-9x40 Conquest for $399 with free shipping. I am excited to get it and will give a range report.
