I must've missed the memo and a search of the archives does not bring up anything obviously pointing to that mystical appellation so, let me guess:

Currently produced USA built pumpers by:

o Mossberg
o Winchester
o Ithaca

and um,

er ah,

harumph,

uhh,

o Remington?

That must be the Big 4. ??

That disincludes my Model 1897 Cornshucker, as it's about 90 years old.

[NOTE] I meant to post this as a reply to the thread about adding the Benelli to the Big 4 list but somehow got a new thread. Sorry.

The Big Four are those mentioned. Currently made, which disqualifies your 97, a couple million 12s, 31s, 17s, 520s, 620s, bla,bla,bla...

The idea was to set up an info base on commonly available, US made repeaters of great reliability, durability, etc. Just the thing someone just getting into shotguns needs.
