I went and had my eyes checked today at Kaiser.(Maybe Now I can shoot!)
The Doc doing the tests took some pictures of my eyes to "help you get the proper glasses and for your file".Are the feds now allowed to go through your Med records, can this be used for retinal identificaion?:uhoh:
I just thought it was strange.I'll go adjust my tin foil hat now.:scrutiny:

Entirely plausible. But you've almost certainly been subjected to biometric scanning already, which supposedly can't be fooled by contacts, sunglasses, etc. Look around in any metropolitan area and see all the little cameras on traffic light poles, etc. They're there for your identif-, ahem, safety.

You may safely remove your tin foil hat. Taking pictures of your retina is common during eye exams, which can be denied of course, and allows the eye doctor to check for various eye conditions and disease.

The doctor will compare your earlier photos with later ones, so if there are changes in your eyes that may not affect your ability to see (in the early stages), he will be able to spot them. Nothing sinister.

Unless your optometrist's name is John Ashcroft. :uhoh:

Allow those pictures to be taken, they are important to your health.
I know of two people whose eye exams were the first indications that they had developed diabetes.

Tell me this is a joke. :scrutiny:

I said it tongue-in-cheek. However, this is a fully developed technology that allows identification based on the unique physical measurements of an individual. Each body is unique, and the movement of each can be used to identify an individual independent of hair color, sunglasses, facial hair, disguise, etc. The requisites of implementing this technology are a biometric database (compiled from video of known individuals) and video of unknown individuals from any source, including security and traffic cameras. Do I believe it is being used to track QuickDraw's movements? No. Do I believe it could be used to identify and track individuals without their knowledge? You're gosh darn right.
