Looks in good shape. Most of the ones I've seen I would be hesitant to fire. Similar to the action on a Snider Enfield. Your cat must be used to gunfire.

Nice gun. I enjoyed the video. I have always wanted a Snider or variation of one which your Zulu is one. I almost bought one a few years ago but the deal fell through. I had even bought one of the HF little cutoff saws to make the 24 gauge shells the the right length, still have it unused. If that had been any of my cats all you would have seen is a streak. As the other poster said your cat must be used gunfire.

I've loaded lots of BP shotgun shells. I've always used fiber wads - the plastic ones will melt and stick in the barrel leaving a real mess to clean. BPI and Precision Reloading, among others, sell fiber wads. I believe they come from Circlefly.com. I use to buy the right from CF, but believe Craig quit selling to individuals. Find some paper shells if you can, they look so much more period correct, especially with a roll crimp. I don't like recoil so 1oz loads with 70 to 75grs of 3F work just fine. And it helps with the price of reloading supplies. Same load for my old 10ga SxSs.
