Ok, I was testing some different brands of ammo today on a 3-week old 24/7 pro LS, with less than 200 rounds through it. I had only fired about 15 rounds today when I had something hit me in the face. It was the slide cap which had broken. I tried to fire the round that was in the chamber with no luck. So I cleared the firearm, brought it home & called Taurus. The Cust. serv. rep said that it was just the slide cap that only functioned as a dust cover & the gun should still fire. Send the piece in and they will ship a new on. In the meantime I notice that the gun will only dryfire if I rack the slide back. anotherwords the firearm has lost it's DA mode. Anyone have any trouble like this? Looks like this one will be taking a trip to Miami.
