while browsing my favorite book place, amazon.com, I can across a few "readers lists" of recommendations. Some of these have been recommended here also.

1. Ballad of Carl Drega http://www.amazon.com/Ballad-Carl-D..._bbs_sr_1/002-1005873-3024853?ie=UTF8&s=books

2. Patriots: Surviving the Coming Collapse
http://www.amazon.com/Patriots-Surv...ef=sr_1_1/002-1005873-3024853?ie=UTF8&s=books

3. To Ride, Shoot Straight, Speak the Truth, by Jeff Cooper

4. Send in the Waco Killers
http://www.amazon.com/Send-Waco-Kil...ef=sr_1_1/002-1005873-3024853?ie=UTF8&s=books

5. Lever Action

6. Unintended Consequences

7. Molon Labe

I notice that many of these books are either out of print, or only available in hardback, or very expensive. I guess there's no 'mass market' paperbacks of this stuff, huh? Just these 7 items would cost a couple hundred bucks. Some of the above are on various "libertarian" lists. I'm not sure on #1,2,4 and 5... you guys know those titles? recommended?

Yeah, I know, I bring this up every time books are mentioned.

And this thing is way out of print and expensive, but Jewish Resistance in Nazi Occupied Eastern Europe is incredible.

I'm not picking on the books in your list, but this book isn't "gripping fiction" about some bozo's fantasy doomsday scenario, filled with strong young American football players single handedly saving the free world with their trusty deer rifles, it's about what really happens in a worst case scenario, when not only strong young bucks have to pick up guns, but women, children, and old men too. Stories of school girls with machine guns and practically no ammo, and grandpas with nagging coughs walking in to nazi offices with hand grenades.

I really wish the book was in print so that more people could get their hands on it. It's usually found in university libraries, and used copies are over $100. Not an easy read, but well worth it.
