It pained me but I finally bought a plastic gun. Went for a Walther PPS M2 in 9mm.....I am calling it my Hillary gun since handguns may be more difficult to get after she is elected. My normal favorites are my CZ 75B glossy, Dan Wesson Heritage 1911 and a whole bunch of .380s I like, Mauser, Beretta 70s, Sig P230, CZ 83, Makarov, etc. I showed my wife the Walther and she thought it was butt ugly but for a poly compact gun I think it is pretty good looking. Not HK P30 or PPQ M2 good looking but worlds better than a G43 (not a Glock fan, at least in terms or appearance). Anyway, after waiting 15 weeks for my latest batch of NJ handgun permits I finally got it last week (it was sitting in my FFL's safe for 11 weeks) and I got to shoot it on Father's Day. Very nice....smooth recoil....good accuracy....perfect function. I gave it a few drops of oil before shooting and used PPU PRVI 115g and Geco 124g and some Sellior and Bellot 115g. Seemed to do well with all of them and shooting offhand I hit my 6" gong at 45' about 80% of the time without trying too hard. I know for the target shooters on here that would be considered pretty bad but for me that is pretty good, especially considering the sub 3.2" barrel. Sights are good, grip is relatively comfortable if a bit narrow compared to what I normally shoot. Overall very happy with it and if the carry laws ever change in NJ I will be ready! I have 2 more permits for the next 2 months so if I can't find something interesting up in NY State or up in Maine, I may have to get another plastic gun..........Maybe a CZ P07 or a VP9 this time........even though I have absolutely no need..........Since when does NEED have anything to do with it anyway?
