For those of you who arn't into cars, jeremy clarkson hates america. I could nice it up a little, but he really just is prejudiced against ALL things American. It's so bad that it's entertaining, untill you remember that he's serious.

He's a complete [redacted]. You are absolutely correct he HATES the US. AND LIKE ALMOST ALL ANTIS, HE IS ALSO A HYPOCRITE! Take a look at how much he loves playing with shotguns and machine guns:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNzNkKhe3lE

And the BIATHALON with cars and a SUBGUN (which BTW he can't shoot worth a darn)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkby3htN2cc

He is one of the top ten celebs on Cosmos list who needs a slap in the mouth and a boot up the backside. He is in a nutshell everything I hate about the modern Brit. He is a bully with a camera but a coward in real life. He claims we are sexually immature because we have firearms, yet he lusts over absurd Eurotrash autos like they were women. He quips and snipes from safety while propping his ego up with oversized engines and heavily edited TV shows.

It's delivered with typical dry British wit. If you actually watched the entire video, you might have picked it up.

he really just is prejudiced against ALL things American
Fortunately there is no bashing of the British here. Oh wait...

Wishing a painful death upon someone for liking cars over guns seems a bit extreme.

No offence taken, just enjoying some quality, firearm based entertainment. And a little history lesson. For example, in video three, we are reminded that Sam Colt actually stole his revolver idea from a british engineer. And in clip 3, the gatling gun is ignored and another gun is the first rapid firing weapon. the american henry lever action is ignored even though it was also mildly important.

Dry British wit? He's as damp as a lake. THIS is dry British wit:

I'm afraid everyone knows that Blackadder III is drier and britishier. Imagine Rowan Atkinson saying, "This may well be an instrument of satan, but it is unbelievable sexy". I submit it would work, despite your dislike of Clarkson's delivery.

"This may well be an instrument of satan, but it is unbelievable sexy"

Hypocrisy is not wit. Clarkson loves to play with guns. He shoots them every chance he gets. In fact he goes abroad and shoots many firearms few ordinary mortals and NO ordinary Brits will ever get to shoot, let alone own. So to hear him preach to us about gun deaths in Florida and how scary the Americans are while taking every opportunity to brandish his own iron for the camera is pretty disgusting.

you should see how badly he craps on america on a visit to america in hes top gear show. acting like evey used car has a body in the trunk, cause us americans are murdering mad men.

now when Americans crap on a hosting nations its bad manners, but when the brits do it, its a damn good car show...

also in one episode eh equates a large outboard motor on the tail of a truck bed to "an entire american, sitting on the truck bed" or soemthing like that.

Jeremy, i love your show, but hate your politics. learn the facts before you start babbling out excrement

I'm afraid I don't understand your passionate dislike of the man. While I don't particularly like Clarkson and even find it rather annoying in most of his endeavors, it's really hard for me to produce the amount of vitriol you express towards a man who isn't much more than second-rate television "journalist" in my book.

Besides, if you're going to slam the guy for liking expensive European cars over guns, you really shouldn't bring up Rowan Atkinson. He's quite the car fan himself. :)

i finished the whole set. I will admit, he lightened up on the "wit" and focussed more on the shooting. Like how easy it is for anyone to get an AK, or how Americans are killing machines and we all have guns.

Clarkson is as much of a character as anyone on tv, so i'm taking all this for entertainment value. It is just interesting that that is probably a documentary and that is the information they get about America and guns.

oh, and i just hate clarkson for the things he's said about cars i like.

That whole documentary was a load of crap. It is anti-gun, anti-hunting and, most of all, anti-American. The British are being force-fed this propaganda and I wonder why so little retaliate. It really is a sad thing.

I feel like Britain is an experiment for the disarmament of the rest of the world, a failed experiment at that. They took away guns, and they get stabbings. Now, they're working on psychological disarmament, trying to make sure that nobody even believes that fighting for truth and freedom was ever a good thing. I wonder what their grandparents would have said, the ones that fought for freedom in WWII. They're probably rolling in their graves.

If anything, this video made me realize that we, as gun owners, have much work to do in our country to combat all the garbage that is seeping in from all around.

:neener:from a Brits point of view with extensive experience of clarksons work and bearing in mind I am from his home town. He does not hate america. He abuses and rants about everywhere he has been, his wit is sharp and acidic and if you watch his earlyier work in the USA such as motorworld or the extreme machines he has the greatest respect for those across the pond.

He can be brash, offensive and tongue in cheek buut to be fair their is a large number of films where the serial killer uses the style of car he bought. That episode was a tpical challenge, shocking, somewhat offensive and stupid., watch the convertible mpv (minivan) challenge for an example.

If you think he hates the USA watch him talking about detRoit in the motorworld show and compare that with how he talks about his home town. Doncaster gets far more abuse than the USA and deserves it.

He is a hunter holds a gun license and enjoys shooting and so anti gun lol wt? he was sued by our peta equivalent for shooting foxes with a shotgun and owns shotguns and rifles.

There are aspects of the USA he dislikes much like myself but He respects and likes the country. The same way he works with the UK. He adores american music and cars but will give a frank personal opinion. He does dislike the american tourist that we see in the UK conforming to the stereotype because they do exist. I have dealt with the boorish arrogant american much as I have dealt with the smug pompous frenchmman and the arrogant german.
He attacks everybody equally well apart from Blair but he deserves it.

just my 4 cents worth (adjusted for the exchange rate lol)

Funny thing about this.

Back in 96 he was saying the exact Opposite....

Catering to the great unwashed UK masses Perhaps?

Provocative entertainment, eh? Be it positive or negative it reaps reaction and some people thrive on that type of controversy... or reaction. Which of course let's them know they're being heard. Being ignored is the kiss of death for advertising moola.

Controversy sells... Something. Even if it's just the name Jeremy Clarkson (who he and who cares?)

Good old Clarkson - as opinionated as ever. He'll take a swipe at anyone. Wouldn't be without him.

Clarkson is awesome. He doesn't hate the US, he just hates everyone and everything. Except his ferrari. :D

And yes he's pretty pro-gun in reality as I recall, has licenses for everything you can legally own over there.

First, it's "British," not "brittish."

Second, one can be "reminded" of something only if it is something of which one had been previously aware. I'm only in the middle of my seventh decade on this planet, and I have never before heard it suggested that Sam Colt "stole" the idea for his revolving pistol from a brittish [sic] engineer.

Source?

it's not a serious documentary :)
Just a piece of entertainment.
The American top gear special was hilarious. Think Jackass for middle aged blokes.
The Fat stig and the cow on top of the car was classic. as was Hilary for president and nascar sucks:neener:
he did own a ford GT so he did like American cars but as it repeatedly broke down much to the delight of his fellow presenters one of which owns a Mustang for some bizarre reason:confused:
Loads of liberals hate clarkson as well he's a British version of a shock jock

Why is it that people still think that something broadcast over the air waves can be taken seriously or has and validity?
Entertainment folks is the name of the game.

Despite the questionable wit and anti commentary, the show did make history a bit more entertaining. Blackadder is the best!:D
I kept thinking on monty python "I'm not dead yet."
