I can't figure out how to get the slide/pump off of my new BPS. It's farely easy on my 870. I need to get this thing spotless.
Does anybody know how to do this?

Now I can't get it back together:neener:. For some reason the action won't go back into the frame :(. I can't find any manuals or diagrams on the net anywhere!

The BPS is EXTREMELY tight, it is such a PITA that I stopped taking mine down. Hose it out assembled with cleaner then hose it out with some very light oil, stand in the corner barrel down on a towel for a day or two to get the gross excess of oil out. The bolt carrier is the worst part, once you get that in it is downhill.

Sorry I can't help with directions, just wiggle and jiggle, put it down when you get mad and come back when you cool off. When the alignment of the parts are perfect it will just slide together like magic. They are MISERABLE to take down and put back together.

put it down when you get mad and come back

Lol, I've done that 5 or 6 times over the past 2 days :D. I hope it will slide together like magic, cause this is the last time I will ever take the action apart again. I cleaned it so well it really does look brand new so I probably have no reason to take it apart again. I put a nice coat of CLP and greased some of the parts.

Bump as in victory? Or bump as in still need help gettin that pig back together? I hope you got to shoot it before you tore it down so you know how sweet it can be LOL.

I know somebody with an NRA book that has some pics that may help me get it back today :D. Right now I'm just tired of looking at it sitting on my floor in pieces!

Ok, I sat down with it about 5 minutes ago to try again. I got it back in! I didn't have to do anything real special, just make sure a couple little things were lined up, make sure the slide was all the way forward, then ease it in. :D :D :D :neener:

Ahhhh glasshoppah, now you know!!! DON'T take it apart again until there are problems!!!

Seriously, if you were paying attention when it fell together it will be a LOT easier next time, dropping from a 9.8 to a 7.5 on the PITA factor scale. It is still a miserable task, but can be done in one day LOL.

Go shoot it quick before the bad taste sets up hard, they do shoot very nicely. If you clean it too often it will end up on the auction block, so just shoot the snot out of it.

Glad you got it back together.

Get this,... I can't get the friggin' metal , circular piece that holds the magazine spring to go in, lol. I need some needle nose pliers to stick in the 2 holes to squeeze it together.
Tearing down my 870 is NOT hard :D. The BPS is just ridiculous:neener: .

LMAO!!! I forgot about that thing. It is the magazine spring cap from HELL!! I was able to get mine in with my hands, start the closed side of it down in just a little and then rock the open side down. Keep going, they do shoot nice......

Well, it didn't come with a the 3-shell wood limiter deal. I'm gonna get one of those and then try to put it back together. I'm not going to do this twice if I don't have to!
