Buck knives

The Buck 119 and the 120 are very similar, it is very easy to see where you would have made a mistake.

Question 6 : What can you tell me about Ghostface's knife? Is it a realworld item too?

Yes. Ghostface's knife is modeled after a real world item. The movie knives are molded from a model "Buck 120" hunting knife. This particular model Buck knife has been discontinued for years. Funnily enough, because people complained that it was "too big" for gutting game. The exact reason why it was chosen for the film was for its long blade.A similar styled knife is however, readily available for around $45. The Buck 119. Same style blade, same handle, just smaller. You can find the 120 still on ebay, but due to their rarity they usually go for well over $100.

I am aware of the difference between the two but from the movie (original SCREAM) I saw it looked like a Special, not as long as the General.

I bought this BUCK Special from a guy at work for $20. He got it at WalMart. The sheath is less than ideal but its OK. Nothing wrong with the steel - Buck has it figured out!

Got one in the Army. A lot of guys would take them out as field knives. Some had KaBars, some had special stuff, but some guys had these. They held up fine and are good knives in general for the price. My dad hunted with one and skinned many deer.

Mine is in the closet, along with the KaBar I prefer. I only have need for a little pocket knife now. I saw a few Randall's for sale the other day, thinking about one for an investment.
