I know it says 3-7 days but I think if they could improve on that poor shipping response time their customer base would increase.

I have been holding out for a Kimber Pro Carry HD II and they finally got some in stock. So I snatched one up last Wednesday 19 October. It's still sitting in processing with the card charged at order. I usally order from Davidsons who ship following day overnight but they do not offfer Kimber or Sig for that matter.

Unless its an unusual situation again I will likely not order from Buds just because of the slow shipping.

I just bought from there and had it in 2 days. Where are you located? I had great device from them.

I noticed that too. I suspect it has something to do with their VIP program taking all of the shipping resources and leaving the regular customers high and dry.

Im on the left coast.

As for having it in 2 days that's great. Mine has not left the store yet according to the website. But, they did say 3-7 days for a reason I guess.

Just saying, compared to Davidsons, Buds is slower than a herd of turtles. The VIP thing might explain it though.

I bought a CZ75B from them earlier this year. Bud's in is Lexington, it was going to Evansville. It took me 5 separate tries to get them to understand that my FFL was already on their list. In my opinion, they are a bunch of gun-loving Kentuckians that don't quite get that there internet thing.

I've asked and was told that it depends on the warehouse they pull the weapon from, and that handguns typically take less time. Of course this may be code for having it shipped to them from the distributor.

ya, but you saved $5! ;-)

They have indeed gotten bad. After waiting over a week, my previous two orders required an email to them asking just exactly when they were planning to ship my purchase to me. Both shipped the next day. The one I currently have on order has been paid in full for over a week and it's still sitting in their store. I sent the now obligatory "where's my gun" email on friday. Hopefully I'll hear from them tomorrow. This is my 4th firearm purchase from them, and because of the length of time it takes to actually get the item shipped, it will be my last.

Bud's pricing is OK, but there's more to retail than prices. If you can't get what you purchase in a reasonable amount of time, I don't care how good the price is, I'll go elsewhere....

With Free Shipping you get exactly what you pay for........

It's not the length of time the product takes to arrive via the carrier that's the issue, it's how long they take before they actually pull the item, package it, and start it on it's journey that I have the issue with.

Missouri Bullet has flat rate shipping that I'm sure they make very little, if anything, on. But they sure know how to get the orders packaged and sent on it's way in an excellent fashion. THAT'S what Buds needs to learn......

Exactlly. /\ /\

I ordered a M&P from Buds on the 10/13, it didn't ship until 10/20. It was in-stock and after I ordered it about 15 minutes later I checked to see if they had anymore in-stock and they didn't so I assume I got the last one they had, they took it out of inventory, but still didn't ship for 8 days. I won't do the VIP thing, from now on Buds will be at the bottom of my list to order from. IMO (and I am getting old and senile) in this day and age if it takes 8 days to ship an in-stock item their shipping department needs to be kicked in the keester.

They could probably add staff to get stuff shipped faster, but that adds to overhead. I have patience so I'd rather them keep their prices low.

Try slickguns.com, they use buds but also a dozen other sites, it's updated intraday and has the best deal from all over.

I bought one revolver from Bud's that wasn't available locally. After the transfer fee, there isn't that much savings over my LGS and I'd rather spend the money locally.

Berry's Bullets has free shipping and they are the fastest shipping company I have dealt with. Much faster than Midway who I pay through the nose for, faster than Amazon, faster than Newegg.
