I'm exploring alternative .357 loads to use for hunting extremely small white-tailed deer (~70 lbs dressed weight).
I'd prefer expanding bullets and have easy access to Buffalo Bore ammunition. The 158 and 170 grain loads look promising, but I know nothing about the bullets they use. For the 158 gr., their website says "Speer Uni core" and the 170 gr. bullet is labelled "jacketed hollow cavity."
Will these bullets stay together at the elevated velocities? Does anyone have any personal experience using these loads on game? Should I just stick to my 158 gr Gold Dot load and the 180 gr. Partition gold loads that have served me well in the past.
