buffalo meat beefstick

the other day i went to my gun club and a guy had beef sticks made from buffalo meat that he had gotten from a friend who went on a hunt out west somewhere and made. does anyone know if you can purchase buffalo meat/steaks on the internet. i know you can buy steaks on the internet, just dont know where to find buffalo ones.

I'll check. The Sho-Ban res is 5 minutes north of me and we sometimes pop out there for a buff burger. They sometimes even sell the steaks in our local supermarkets - not too cheap though.

My practical joker buddy at my old job was passing out beef jerky that he said was made by his grandma. It turned out to be jerky treats for dogs.

was at cabela's and they had a large selection of buffaloo meat for purchase (not the restraunt, vaccumm packed frozen stuff) you may want to swing by thier website

Oh God! Elk! I would (almost) kill for a good elk roast. I grew up on elk, venison, rabbit, squirrel, pheasant, quail, bass, duck and other wild game, but I haven't had any elk for 30 years or more. My mom used to fix it and it was 10 times better than the best beef you've ever had.

As Hairback pointed out, there are bison ranches all over Indiana. Hey, the critter is on the state seal. I would think Mr. Google or whoever would show many others about.

As well, there are two elk ranches just south of me. I know they sell the leather and steaks, don't know about jerky though?
