Does anybody mount their buis ahead of the rear ring, underneath the scope? I have a Burris 3X9 "Tactical" (40mm) mounted on a Rock River NMA4, using Warne extra high QD rings. However, for the eye relief to fit me (there's little area on the scope body for much to and fro adjusting), I pretty much have to use the rearmost location on the picatinny rail to mount the scope ring, so any buis will have to be located in an area where the scope will have to be detached (ergo, the QDs) in order to access said irons.

Any recommendations for a good, low-profile (foldable) rear iron that is quick-detachable?

If I were you, I'd poke around the Arfcom Equipment Exchange. There are tons of vendors there that have just about everything you would ever want to buy for an AR. That said, I went with the YHM flip-up rear sights for my build. Got them from Kevin at Brightflashlights dot com. They're not nearly as low, but they're way more budget-oriented, and I'm on a tight budget.

I've also read some good things about the Matech flip-up rear sight. It seems to be pretty low also, and not too pricey. Best bet is to poke around Arfcom for a while, and ask the actual pros instead of someone that gets all his information by going to Arfcom ...and asking all the pros...
