Although for $45 a pop , you could probably buy an el-cheapo set of cuff links, cut the posts off and epoxy it into your own spent brass. Just saying.

I like both French cuffs and cuff links. If I still had anywhere in particular to wear them, I'd be inclined to buy a pair of those.

On a tangentially related note, how much would you care to bet those would be confiscated by TSA individuals if you tried to fly anywhere wearing such cuff links?

Why? They're NOT live ammo, NOT primed, Not even a empty casing.

What they are though, are a couple of pieces of 3/16" long by 7/16" in diameter Nickel Plated circular brass pieces that has the outside center piece accented in Gold, with the inside filled and attached to a cufflink fastener.

On second thought. I remember reading and seeing a news article about the TSA (Thieves Stealing Anything) who took a National Congressional Medal of Honor from a 86 year old WW2 Vet General (ret.) Joe Foss because it was a star with points on it and they were afraid he would use it to hijack the plane.

I guess you're right then.. don't try to wear them through the TSA (Thousands Standing Around) checkpoint because you'll most likely be charged with terrorism and trying to shoot or blow up the plane.

TSA found a loaded speedloader in my bag.

They took the ammo and wanted to confiscate my empty speedloader... They gave me the option of surrendering it, taking it back to my car and returning through security, or mailing it to myself. They took the ammo but would not let me travel with the speedloader. Since I returned it to my car, why couldn't I keep the ammo???

Anyway, it would be a shame to lose the cufflinks through TSA security.

Many years ago, before there was a TSA, I was traveling with a coworker on a business trip. He puts his keys in the basket before walking through the metal detector and the security guy said he couldn't take them on to the plane. He had one of those 44 mag bullet key chains and the security guy said the bullet was dangerous and would have to be confiscated.

I pointed out to him that it was an inert object that was incapable of doing any harm, even if there was a firearm to put it into. He stood his ground.

I was getting peeved at his attitude and started to point out how it was more like a picture of a bullet than a real bullet. He was unrelenting.

By this time I'm string to get really PO'd, and I start pointing out how someone could do more damage with a Bic pen then they could a non-functional bullet. He didn't budge, there is strength in ignorance.

My coworker had to drag me out of there, he was afraid the guy was going to have us detained.

It it even LOOKS like a cartridge you will be stopped.

You are invited to try your "a couple of pieces of 3/16" long by 7/16" in diameter Nickel Plated circular brass pieces that has the outside center piece accented in Gold, with the inside filled and attached to a cufflink fastener" argument, and if they get pissed enough instead of simply confiscating them they will have you arrested.

They are NOT forgiving, and can then slap you with a civil fine.
