First thing to do is make your holes easier to see. Shoot-n-see targets are great for that, especially when it's hot or if your injured/disabled. Once your hole glows against its background you have it whooped. Anything works at that point.
And if your feeling like going super cheap, I bought a Barska spotter for 30 bucks a few years ago. It's pretty stinkin good for the money and has survived plenty abuse. My next spotter will be of higher quality, but it certainly won't be 500 bucks.
For good glass at a reasonable price call SWFA. They might have some good used glass for great prices, that's my first stop when scope shopping now.
