Buying a Ruger P94

I have a chance to buy a used Ruger P94, in .40 S&W for $290.00. I can't find a scratch on it. The trigger pull in DA is quite good, and the SA is pretty crisp and not too heavy. In other words, it's in good shape.

My question is about the price. Can anyone tell me if this is a good price for a used P94? It's the P944 (dark black slide), not the KP944 (stainless).

Help would be appreciated.

I do think that is a good price. The price of Rugers, new and used, seems to be going up, at least in my neck of the woods. Somebody must have discovered, finally, how well these homely Rugers work! I have a P90 that has never skipped a beat. Also, I have heard good things about the P94. For what it's worth, I think you found a decent deal.

Not a bad price. Around here that gun would probably sell for $249 to $269.

Agreed, not a bad price. I bought mine used. Blued, also. $265. It did come with 5 mags, though.

I've put the Hogue wrap arounds on it since then, and shot it a lot. It goes bang every time, and is much more kind to brass than my other .40.

That is a fair price on a nice gun. ( see if they will through in a box or two of ammunition )

I bought the Ruger P94 (.40 S&W) today, $290 + tax. Weather permitting, I'll try it out tomorrow. Thanks guys for the advice and input.
