Recently someone posted the link to www.californiarifles.com. I checked it out and purchased one of the butstocks since I live in the DPRK and I am not eligible to own a semi automatic black rifle.
The customer service was OUTSTANDING, quick replies to email and it was shipped the same day I spoke with Grant Early about purchasing one of them. The order was shipped on Thursday and I recieved it from Sacramento on Monday, no extra shipping charges either.
The new buttstock installs quickly and I had no hastles with it, it is also quite firm and has some mass to it. Took it to the desert yesterday to do some plinking and training and I was impressed with the new conversion it was not at all uncomfortable and the foam recoil spring housing was actually quite nice. I only experienced one issue and that was my own fault I did not torque the recoil spring housing tight enough and it freed up initially and I quickly rectified this after clearing the weapon and resting it up against my hip and I gave it a good 'ol twist with both hands and after 200 rounds it never moved again.
Had another AR there for comparison, standard setup nothing special, I still prefer the AR with the pistol grip but I do recommend this to those who live here in California.
I believe I have some pictures and when I am able to upload them to my photo bucket I will share them.
