Howdy folks. I set up a pay allotment to my bank in my hometown so when I go home I'll have a little extra money to play with. On leave in my home town and I have about $200 to play with. My first instinct is to get a milsurp (pro'lly an SKS, Enfield, or 91/30). My practical side is also kicking in telling me to get an 870 or a new 9mm pistol (since my wife stole mine and I'm getting a ND CCL). I pro'lly can't get a CCW for 200 so that's the first thing I've ruled out. I'm leaving all of my guns at my folks' house because I'm deploying in about 2 months and my wife is going to be visiting her mother's house for a long period of time and I don't want to get robbed so I'd like it to be something that I can have fun with while I'm on leave. What would THR say about my situation?

A Bulgarian Makarov, if you can find it, will satisfy the milsurp and concealed carry stipulations, but you're going to need to mail-order the ammo unless you find one in .380.

For immediate gratification, I'd go with the 870.

If you're deploying, leave the money there and keep adding to it. When you get home you'll have alot of money to buy even more or a more expensive rifle that you might want.;)
